And: Just like with real Jeans, this yarn may bleed. And please note that recycled yarns are not as stable as premium yarns, so please don't knit too tightly. But once knitted up, the fabric is as durable as any other knitted fabric.

"Uuuuhh, nice and soft!" my colleague exclaimed when she held the first skein of Reborn Jeans in her hands. And yes, this yarn made from recycled jeans (post consumer) is unusually soft and the touch resembles a mixture of bourette silk and wool. The color range is narrow and that is done on purpose: We stuck to the original colors of the jeans and didn't apply another chemical process by bleeching it and dying in different colors. The Polyester part of the yarn is made from recycled PET bottles. The raw material is sourced in India, where the yarn is spun by the same father-and-son owned company that produces Reborn Wool for us. The dyes used are free of animal derivates so that this yarn can be called truely vegan.
